IEEE CASS Satellite Workshop on

“Semiconductors for 2030: Opportunities & Challenges”
Date: 18 November 2023 (Saturday), T-Hub, Hyderabad
About the Workshop:
Semiconductors have gain popularity at the highest scale globally in last 3 years. Thanks to the chip shortage to make semiconductors famous overnight. Now every segment of engineering and non-engineering discipline is well aware of the importance of semiconductors. This has brought in a serious focus from the major leading technology companies and governments. Every country wants to be self-reliant in semiconductors. There are many focus forums being constituted, which resulted in initiatives like US Chips act, India Semiconductors Mission (ISM), European Chips act and many more.
The goal of this workshop is to bring together experts from industry, academia, research and government bodies together to discuss different aspects about the next generation semiconductors in development, the complexity involved, challenges in realizing sub-nanometer chips and how to skill adequate workforce to achieve these goals of complex chips, thus reducing time to market.
The purpose of holding this workshop along with APCCAS 2023 & PRIMEAsia 2023 is to motivate students and researchers to learn about the futuristic skills to design, verify the complexity involved in a semiconductor chip. Thus, they will learn on new topics in the semiconductor domain.
